Changing reality
On this beautiful and sunny Wednesday in mid-March, with temperatures from early June, there seems to be a relative
stability in the finding of new balances in the global oil and gas world. There has been quite some uproar recently,
over the re-nationalisations that took place, the pipeline politics, the environment- and climate-change, depletion
and the reserve-situation, geo-politics and then recently a true media hype around renewables.
In this issue you will find news on the shifting balances between the world-leaders over new resources, the pipelines
and pipeline-politics that are at play at the moment, the promising new finds and opening up of new provinces in
several regions of the world, the environmental struggles, the social “collateral damage”, the search for
alternatives and renewables, the massive investments planned, and the more that are needed, and the subsequent
cost-overruns due to materials-and personnel-costs, and much more.
It is a fair overview of the most relevant and important developments in the industry.
Regards,
Alexander
