Changing systems
Another rich update with revealing news from all of the world-regions.
One of the main features in this gathering of news is the growing movement towards nationalisation, or re-establishment of state and sovereign control on the resources, in various forms and regions.
Latin America is creating a (mainly-)state governed energy-network.
In Africa there is a call for “An OPEC for Africa”
In Asia, Central Asia, Russia & CIS the energy-security is mainly covered by government-to-government deals.
It seems ever more that the market is looking to swing back to sovereign purposes as a first principle, rather than commercial benefit.
Currently the world produces 4 bn tons of oil per year, of which 1.6 bn is commercially traded, tendency: down, and more strongly in the mid-term.
What effects this may have on the global economic system is unknown but we may look cautiously to the effects of a,
slow or quick, debunking of the bloated domain of excessive derivative trading.
And what this therefore may say to do.
