Finally there: The Campbell’s Atlas of Oil & Gas Depletion
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that the Campbell’s Atlas of Oil & Gas Depletion, second edition, has been published by Springer and is now available for Sale at this site.
It is a historic document that gives an easy to understand country-by-country overview of all oil and gas producing countries in the world and the state of their remaining endowment.
The Atlas tries to give an as honest and simple picture as possible, whilst bringing in the vast knowledge of Colin Campbell and his decades-long research and calculations to underpin the data shown.
By its simplicity and its easy-to-understand message, the Atlas also attempts to give a clear signal, in a time in which reality is often obfuscated for various reasons.
There is no doubt about where the trend goes, when taking a global view, even when exact timings cannot be pinned down. Also the much hyped-up shale oil and shale gas revolution will not change the situation substantially, as collateral factors will limits its growth.
Many future production-figures as being told by the official organizations come straight out of dream-land, or wish-land, or were the price-tag for a re-election, and will need to be revised many times over the coming years.
The integration of reality-figures on supply and demand as indicated by economic, geostrategic or climatic developments will take time still and will bring a much soberer picture than currently displayed.
In a nearby conference, we will go deeper into this.
The Campbell’s Atlas of Oil & Gas Depletion makes a start, by giving a neutral and easy-to-understand reality-picture.
We keep working on setting up a neutral database, as the outcome is too important to leave it to the special interests.
Keep an open mind,
Alexander
