The GEP, (Groupement des Entreprises Parapétrolières et Paragazières) is the French Oil and Gas Suppliers and Services Council, and has been, for more than 40 years, the trade association of the French oil and gas supply and services industry. The GEP promotes, on a world-wide basis, the technologies and know-how of its members to the operating companies through publications, business scouting, exhibitions, technical seminars in France and abroad.
In addition, and as and when required, it represents the industry with Government and international institutions.
Within the frame of the European Union, the GEP manages on behalf of the European Commission an Energy Centre in Tyumen, Western Siberia, to promote and disseminate, in this vast area, hydrocarbon technologies and know-how from the European Union Member States.
GEP publishes a biennial Directory of its Members and together with the CEP&M and the IFP, a yearly survey of the French oil and gas supply and services industry activities world-wide.
