Phillips takes stake in Angola's Block 7 offshore oil field

14-01-99 South African oil exploration firm Energy Africa said that a unit of Phillips Petroleum had taken a 20 % stake in Angola's Block 7 offshore oil field. "Energy Africa will retain operatorship during the exploration phase with a 30 % equity stake," it said.
