13-06-08 The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) intends to drill 20 new wells to increase the oil production to more than 1 mm tons on Neft Dashlari field ("Oil Stones"), SOCAR said.
According to the company’s forecasts, the oil production on this field should be increased up to 1.2 mm tpy.

Earlier SOCAR completed drilling new well which was drilled with the platform 1887 being located on the field. The well, with a capacity of 30 tons per day, was drilled in depth of nearly 2,820 m on the Nadkimakin formation.
Up to now, the platform has drilled nearly 12 wells, with aggregate daily production of 400 tons. Generally 36 wells will be drilled with the platform. The production on the platform is supposed to total nearly 1,000 tons per day.

According to the estimations of the geologists of SOCAR, the oil reserves on the field of Neft Dashlari make up 30 mm tons.
SOCAR plans to drill 78 new wells to increase oil production on the field by 2010.
