MOL buys twelve more petrol stations in Austria

31-07-08 Hungarian oil company MOL is buying 12 petrol stations in Austria from Austrian oil company Doppler for an undisclosed price, MOL’s communications director Szabolcs I. Ferencz told.
The move supports MOL’s aim to achieve a significant market share on Austria’s retail market, Ferencz said.

Eight of the new stations are in the greater Vienna area, and four are in or near Graz. Doppler operates more than 200 petrol stations in Austria under the BP and Turmoel brands.
MOL said earlier it planned to expand its network of petrol stations in Austria to 70 units by year-end, and boost the number to 100 in one or two years.

So far this year, MOL has bought one petrol station in Austria, from ConocoPhillips.
In 2004, MOL bought a 74.99 % stake in Roth Heizole, which owns 34 petrol stations in Austria.
