First INA gas station opens in Hungary
10-02-09 MOL has opened its first INA-branded gas station only 40 km away from the Croatian border. MOL has been in a strategic partnership with Croatian oil company INA since 2003.
"We are proud to be able to open the opportunity for fuelling up at an INA-branded petrol stations in Hungary as well," said Laszlo Geszti, vice president of MOL, adding that if business experience supports it, further INA stations will be opened in the south of the country.
INA and MOL will both accept the loyalty card of the other and the companies plan to strengthen their regional cooperation. MOL just recently raised its stake in INA to above 47 % and now that the companies have received the approval of the Croatian competition authority, the consolidation process is likely to begin.
According to MOL's estimates the immediate savings from the merger could be as high as EUR 390 mm.
