Peru reports on natural gas output in Jan.-Feb. 2009

06-03-09 Peru's natural gas total output in the January-February period amounted to 17.02 bn cf, showing a growth of 14.16 % with respect to the production in the same term last year, the state oil agency Perupetro reported.
Perupetro said the increase of gas production was boosted again by the greater consumption in the electric power plants.

The average daily production of natural gas in February was 279.03 mm cf, which shows a decrease of 6.13 % compared to January of this year.
The greater contribution to Peru's natural gas production in February corresponded to Camisea's Block 88, operated by Pluspetrol Peru Corporation, with 228.40 mm cf daily.

The second largest contribution corresponded to Block 31-C operated by Aguaytia Energy, with 32.66 mm cf of natural gas a day.
On the other hand, Petro-Tech Peruana reached a production of 5.51 mm cfpd in Block Z-2B.
