Pemex expects peak production from Kambesah field

The field was discovered in August 2008, and is located south of the Kutz field and northwest of the Ixtoc field. Production from Kambesah will be sent to the Kutz-TA platform and from there to the Akal-TJ platform.

Pemex aims to produce a total 23.5 mm bbl of oil and 15.9 bn cf of gas over the field's lifetime.
As such, the state firm's E&P subsidiary PEP launched an international tender for infrastructure at the field including a platform for hydrocarbons recovery. Nine firms had purchased bidding rules of the first project meeting: Comercializacion Internacional de Tampico, Construcciones Mecanicas Monclova, Construcciones y Equipos Latinoamericanos, Dragados Offshore de México, Industria del Hierro, Industrias W. de México, J. Ray McDermott de México, Operadora Cicsa and Udee Instrumentacion y Control.
