Camisea consortium invests $ 380 mm to improve processing capacity

19-06-09 Camisea consortium is performing extension works in its plants in Malvinas (Cusco) and Pisco (Ica), with an investment of $ 380 mm, in order to increase its processing capacity by 30 % with 1,220 mm cfpd, Pluspetrol reported.
With these extension works, Camisea will process 1,580 mm cf of natural gas per day and 110,000 barrels of associated liquid for 2012.

"These new extension works represent for Camisea an important milestone in sustainable growth since the beginning of operations in 2004," Pluspetrol Executive Manager Roberto Ramallo said.
He pointed out that the report of Certification of Reserves for blocks 88 and 56, made by Gaffney, Cline & Associates company in February 2009, confirms the maximum potential volumes of original gas in place presented by Pluspetrol in December 2008, which is about 18 tcf.

Also, volumes of recoverable hydrocarbon, based on the field development made by Camisea consortium up to now, match up with estimates presented and represent 14.7 tcf.
He pointed out that works performed by Camisea consortium up to now allowed an increase of 30 % in the figure of certified reserves in relation to 2005.
