03-07-09 Peru's state agency for promoting private investment ProInversion has issued an international call for bids for the Chilca-Marcona-Caraveli transmission concession project.
The 500 kV project aims to reinforce the interconnection between the centre and south of the country. Estimated investment is $ 300 mm.

The 30-year concession entails the design, finance and construction of the line and associated substations. Works are due to take 30 months.
Qualification documents will be accepted through September 15, with qualifiers due to be announced September 25 and offers due October 27. Potential bidders must demonstrate they operate transmission lines of no less than 1,000 km with tensions equal or greater than 220 kV.
