09-09-09 Staatsolie, the state oil company of Suriname, has let a project management consultant contract to Aker Solutions US for a doubling of crude capacity of its refinery at Tout Lui Faut to 15,000 bpd.
When online in 2013, the expanded refinery will produce diesel, gasoline, fuel oil, bitumen, and sulphuric acid.

Glyn Rodgers, president of Aker Solutions US, said the expansion is "the largest single project in the country's history."
