11-08-02 The largest gas platform base was manufactured by the Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex Co. (ISOICC) in Bandar Abbas. It is ready to be shipped to the South Pars gas field.
ISOICC Managing Director Karbalaei said: "This platform is 36 mm long and 80 mm high weighing 3,600 tons, which is the largest and heaviest gas platform base ever manufactured in Iran."

Mr Karbalaei added that building this platform created two thousand jobs and saved the country $ 1 mm in foreign currency expenses. It cost $ 3.5 mm and will be transferred soon to Assalouyeh district in Bushehr to be installed in the South Pars Gas Complex.
