16-10-04 A tender bid for designing a control system for ten phases of South Pars gas field will be held.
Gholamreza Manouchehri, managing director of Petropars Company, noted that the National Iranian Oil Company has ordered Petropars to prepare technical papers for the bid and the documents have been prepared in cooperation with a foreign company.

"At present, phases 1 through 5 of South Pars Project are being controlled through satellites and the new control system will take advantage of a fibre-optic network for this purpose," he said.
Manouchehri noted that the new system will facilitate transfer of information and order among installations.
