Noor Petroleum to build petrol stations in Syria
01-09-08 Noor Petroleum, a subsidiary of Kuwait-based Noor Financial Investment Company, is to build 25 petrol stations in Syria. The announcement was made following approval of the Syrian government.
Abdullah Khattab of the Syrian Company for Storage and Distribution of Petrochemicals said that Noor Petroleum had received permission at cabinet level to open the units throughout the country.
The facilities will also include restaurants, car-washes, vehicle servicing and automotive accessories retailing.
Noor Petroleum took a near 30 % stake in London-listed Victoria Oil & Gas in February and recently completed a feasibility study into a 140,000 bpd oil refinery in Dair Al-Zour in Syria.
