National Iranian Gas Company initials world's longest sour gas pipeline

31-08-08 The world's longest sour gas pipeline, extending from southern Assaluyeh to south-western Aghajari, officially came on stream, the managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said.
"The 504-km long, 56-inch pipeline will transfer sour gas from the South Pars gas field phases 6, 7 and 8 to be injected to Aghajari oilfield," Seyyed Reza Kassaeizadeh said.

The NIGC commenced implementation of the pipeline project in 2006 by allocating some $ 2 bn, he noted.
