Al Hassan wins Burhan pipeline project in Oman
18-01-09 Al Hassan Engineering Company (AHEC) has recently received a multi-million dollar contract for the prestigious Burhan West and Harmal Pipeline Project from the Government Gas Department.
The project, which will be managed by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), further strengthens AHEC's reputation as one of the few contractors in Oman having capabilities to handle exotic materials such as Duplex Stainless Steel (DSS). This project includes the construction of DSS flowlines and pipelines at Burhan West and Harmal along with associated electrical distribution, control, monitoring and protection infrastructure.
This is an extremely important project for the Sultanate and AHEC is fully committed to its timely completion while adhering, as in its past projects, to all the requirements of safety and quality, the company said.
Peter Hall, CEO of AHEC commented, "We are delighted to be entrusted with this significant and prestigious PDO order which, in addition to other contracts already secured
in 2008, gives AHEC an extremely healthy order book to take us into the new business year."
AHEC, an ISO 9001:2000 company, has established an excellent track record of being a prime construction partner in executing complex jobs in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, power plants, electricity transmission and distribution, industrial infrastructure projects and operations and maintenance of oil and gas installations, water and wastewater treatment plants and has a number of firsts to its credit.
Major projects currently in hand with AHEC include the A'Seeb Sewage Treatment Plant for Haya Water/Hyundai Rotem, Nimr-C Full Field Water Injection Project for PDO, Salalah Methanol Project for GS Engineering and Construction and a couple of projects in the Power sector.
"With several projects both in the government and the private sectors in the offing, AHEC is well set to keep up its reputation as a partner in the development of Oman," says Maqbool Ali Salman, Managing Director of Al Hassan Group of
