Iberdrola to invest $ 8 bn in US renewable energy until 2010
18-05-08 Spanish power company Iberdrola said it plans to invest $ 8 bn in renewable energy in the US between 2008 and 2010.
The company said it wants to have a 15 % share of the wind power market in the US by 2010.
Iberdrola added it had a wind power production capacity of 2,400 MW in the US at the end of March and expected to reach 3,600 MW by the end of the year.
Iberdrola, based in Bilbao, northern Spain, is the world's biggest wind-power generator.
