Transneft shipped 118.2 mm tons of oil outside the FSU in 1999
07-01-00 Russia's largest oil transportation company, Transneft, shipped 118.2 mm tons of oil outside the former Soviet Union states in 1999, 2.6 % less than the previous year, said a source from the company. In 1998, Transneft, which controls nearly all oil shipping markets of the Commonwealth of Independent States, shipped 121.31 mm tons of crude oil.
Meanwhile, Russian oil production climbed 0.5 % to 304.8 mm tons in 1999.
Russian refineries processed nearly 170.4 mm tons of crude in 1999, 7.2 mm tons more than the previous year, according to figures from the Energy Ministry.
