TNK saw oil output increase in 1999
02-02-00 In 1999, Tyumenneft (TNK) increased its output to 20.06 mm tons for the first time in the past few years. The company's main oil-producing arm, Nizhnevartovskneftegaz, produced 18.206 mm tons, as compared to target of 17.8 mm tons. Drilling operations increased five times from the previous year. A total of 108 new wells were built and over 300 wells restored. The average yield of new wells is 30 metric tons per day, as compared to target of 16 metric tons. This year, TNK plans to build up annual extraction to 24 mm tons and to double drilling operations to 700,000 meters.
