Sintez to build new oil terminal in Murmansk

28-08-08 The oil company Sintez Petroleum has been allotted land on the western shore of the Kola Bay for the construction of an oil terminal. The terminal, a RUB 40 bn project, will have an annual capacity of 10-12 mm tons.
The Sintez Petroleum is one of the major investors in the development of Murmansk Transport Hub, a huge regional infrastructure initiative headed by regional authorities along with the federal Transport Ministry.

The company gets the land on the western shore of the heavily trafficked Kola Bay on a 49 year contract.
The allotted land on the strategically important western side of the Kola Bay must be seen as a major breakthrough for the oil company, which has work with the project since 2005. The Kola Bay is about to become an area of huge investments, both in infrastructure development and new industry.
