10-08-00 According to report by the US Geological Survey, Bangladesh has a potential natgas reserve of over 45 tcf. The report said the South Asian country has natural gas reserves of 33 tcf, both on land and offshore in the Bay of Bengal.
The state owned oil and gas company, Petrobangla, claimed the country had a discovered gas reserve of 15 tcf. American geologists are to visit the region to gather more data.
