21-10-02 Electric Power Development said it has received an order from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation to supply consulting services for a wind power generation project in the northern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines.
The value of the order will be around 70 mm yen, the Tokyo-based company said.

The northern Luzon wind power generation scheme is a yen loan-financed project agreed on in March between the JBIC and Philippine National Oil Company-Energy Development. Up until July 2003, Electric Power Development will support the Philippine public corporation's bidding processes for designing of wind power generation facilities and procurement of machinery and materials.
In 2004, the northern Luzon scheme will become the first wind power generation project in Southeast Asia to launch commercial operations. With the latest order, Electric Power Development has supplied consulting services on 202 overseas projects in 58 countries.
