Santos to start operations at Oyong gas field late 2004
19-03-03 Santos' $ 100 mm Oyong oil and gas project offshore Indonesia starts operations late 2004. Contracts have been awarded for initial engineering and design work for the pipeline route and platform location surveys.
The minimum capacity of the project is estimated at 40 mm cfpd of gas.
Santos announced it agreed to sell all the reserves from Oyong, located offshore East Java, to PT Indonesia Power.
Santos owns 45 % of Oyong, Cue owns 15 %, and El Paso’s Coastal Indonesia Sampang unit owns the remaining 40 %.
