CNOOC signs agreement to sell gas to Indonesia

14-12-04 China's largest offshore oil firm CNOOC Ltd. (CEO) said it has signed an agreement to sell gas to Indonesia's national power company Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
Under the agreement, CNOOC and other members of the Offshore Southeast Sumatra Production Sharing Contract will supply 80 bn Btu a day from 2006 to 2018, CNOOC said.

The natural gas will be produced mainly from fields in the Zelda and Banuwati areas and supplied to Perusahaan Listrik Negara's Cilegon Power Plant in West Java by a subsea pipeline, the company said.
CNOOC is the operator of the Offshore Southeast Sumatra Production Sharing Contract with a 65.3 % stake.
