Serica carries out production tests offshore Sumatra
20-05-08 Production tests are being carried out at the three Kambuna production wells, offshore North Sumatra.
The Kambuna field is operated by Serica Energy, which owns a 65 % interest in the project.
The Kambuna-3 production well tested the Belumai reservoir over the 94-foot (28.6-m) interval, 7,152 feet to 7,246 feet (2,180 m to 2,208 m) below sea level and produced at a rate 40 mm cfpd of natural gas and 2,849 bpd of condensate.
Maximum production rate was limited by testing equipment.
The Kambuna-2 well was previously tested at a stabilized rate of 33 mm cfpd. A final test will be carried out at the Kambuna-4 well within the next few weeks, following completion of the well.
Transocean jackup GSF Rig 136 is drilling the well.
