30-05-08 Italian energy major ENI has been awarded the West Timor exploration block in Indonesia, at the country's international licensing round.
The West Timor exploration block is located in onshore and offshore areas, in the southwest region of the Timor Island and encompasses an area of 4,075 sq km, of which 2,725 sq km is offshore and 1,350 sq km is onshore. ENI will be the operator and the sole holder of the license.
