Sinopec starts pumping from Sichuan well

16-07-08 China's Sinopec has begun production from a new natural gas well near the Puguang field in the Sichuan province, southwest China.
The Xinqingxi 1 well, drilled to a depth of 4,371 metres, was tested at a daily output of 1.068 mm cm of natural gas, the highest daily level of any well in northeast Sichuan.

Sinopec is building pipelines to pump natural gas from Puguang, China's second-largest gas field with proven reserves of 356 bn cm, to the financial hub of Shanghai in eastern China.
Puguang will have production capacity of 10 bn cm this year.
