28-03-02 China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corp (CPECC) has signed a $ 317 mm contract with Pakistan's Pak-Arab Refinery to build an oil product pipeline in Pakistan, a Chinese official said. CPECC, a subsidiary of oil giant China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), would be responsible for procurement, engineering and construction of the 817 km pipeline from Karachi to northwest Mohamood-Kot, the official said.
Construction of the pipeline, designed to move 12 mm tpy of oil products, would be finished in 23 months, he said. The Import and Export Bank of China has provided CPECC export seller's credit for the project, the official said.
