Kvaerner awarded topsides for Statoil's Huldra platform in North Sea

12-02-99 Anglo-Norwegian engineering group Kvaerner ASA has won a contract to build the topsides for Statoil's Huldra gas and condensate platform in the North Sea.
It was said the deal was worth 700 - 900 mm crowns.

Norwegian offshore service company Aker Maritime last autumn won the 230 mm crowns deal to deliver the steel jacket for Huldra, estimated to contain 20 - 30 bn cm of gas.
Huldra is slated to come on stream in 2001 at a cost of 5.7 bn crowns.
Partners in Huldra are Statoil, Conoco, Total , Svenska Petroleum and Petro Canada.
