Lurgi to build desulphurisation unit for Turkmengaz

15-04-99 Turkmenistan's Turkmengaz and Germany's Lurgi signed on April 14 a contract on the construction of a desulphurisation plant with a capacity of up to 3 billion cubic meters. The plant will help restore production at the Turkmen deposit Samantep with extractable reserves of over 90 billion cubic meters of sulphur-containing gas and to step up production at other fields. Payment will be done with proceeds from the sale of gas. It is planned that gas will be bought by Lurgi's partners Debis International (Germany) and Kateko-Energy.
