07-05-99 Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding announced that U.K. subsidiary Mitsui Babcock Energy has received an order for four boiler units from an independent power production project in China.
The order is worth about $ 300 mm. Mitsui Babcock will supply the boilers to two power stations in the province of Shandong -- two 300 MW units to one station and two 600 MW units to the other.
The first boiler is slated to begin operation in May 2002, and the fourth in May 2004.
