Fortum selects GeoQuest to be primary supplier of E&P software technology

19-08-99 Schlumberger Oilfield Services today announced that Fortum Petroleum AS chose GeoQuest, a product line of Schlumberger, to be Fortum Petroleum's primary supplier of E&P software technology. GeoQuest's open systems will enable Oslo-based Fortum Petroleum -- whose operational focus is the North Sea, Russia and Middle East regions -- to streamline its E&P workflow.

During the three-year contract, Fortum Petroleum will have access to all of GeoQuest's commercial E&P software, including geophysical, geological, petrophysical, reservoir simulation, drilling and production applications. These leading-edge technology solutions will help Fortum reduce cycle time, risk and uncertainty while broadening the use of these products across the E&P life cycle.
