The chapter reveals the main ingredients of these contract as well as the recent second thoughts in the government officials to revamp and change the structure and conditions of these contracts. The thought to revamp the buy back contracts is generated from the receding interest of the foreign oil firms in investment in Iran's oil sector, specially in the wake of growing political problems the country faces.
