Bulgaria and Iran may construct gas pipeline to Europe
29-08-02 Bulgaria and Iran may construct a pipeline that will deliver natural gas to Europe. That emerged after a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Kostadin Pasklaev with visiting Iranian Minister of Housing and Urban Development Dr Ali Abdol-Alizadeh.
The Bulgarian company Transkomplekt was commissioned three years ago by Germany's Pipeline Engineering to draft a feasibility study for a Slovakia-bound gas pipeline that would start in Iran and pass via Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania. It was concluded also that 100 bn cm of natural gas could be transited via Bulgarian territory annually.
