Olefins output up in Q3

Nov. 21. 1996 Olefins output in western Europe increased significantly in the third quarter versus second-quarter 1996 and third-quarter 1995. Ethylene production totalled 4.54 mmt, compared with 4.29 mmt in the earlier periods. Propylene output reached 3.09 mmt, compared with 2.93 mmt in second-quarter 1996 and 2.84 million in third-quarter 1995. Butadiene production was also up slightly over both periods, to 500,000 t.
