Second Algeria-Italy gas pipeline to doubled capacity

Nov. 20. 1996 A second natural gas pipeline running from Algeria to Italy will come onstream by January 1997, allowing a flow rate of a total 24 bncmpy from 12 bn now. Works will be finished by the end of December, and the maximum volume of 24 bncmpy through the pipeline will be reached by January.
