22-07-08 Officials say Chile will invest $ 300 mm over the next three years to explore for oil and gas in its southernmost region of Magellan.
The exploration manager for the state-run National Petroleum Company, Nelson Munoz says the figure is about half of the company's total investments planned for the period.

Chile last year awarded oil and gas exploration and production rights to several foreign companies that will invest at least $ 267 mm each in the same Magellan region.
