08-08-08 Venezuelan ambassador to Vietnam, Jorge Rondon, highlighted his country's oil potential and predicted a bright future for the state company PetroVietnam.
Addressing a business meeting attended by oil entrepreneurs from all over Asia, Rondon said that as for Venezuela there is no difference between oil and sovereignty.

According to the diplomat, sharing Venezuela's oil reserves, technology and human resources with other brother countries is one of President Hugo Chavez' main challenges. To Venezuela, oil is not only an instrument for national liberation but an asset to boost socio-economic development among its Caribbean neighbours, the rest of the Latin American nations and brother countries from Africa and Asia, the ambassador said.
Rondon recalled that Venezuela's oil cooperation is based on solidarity and respect for sovereignty and self determination.
