Iran is a major oil supplier to Italy
18-05-02 Iran was the 4th largest oil supplier of Italy in the January-February 2002 period, by exporting 1,250,000 tons of crude oil to the country. Iran's oil export to Italy in the period under study showed a 5 % decline compared to the figure in the corresponding period in 2001, an expert said.
The source said Russia and Libya each with 2.5 mm tons of oil export and Saudi Arabia with 1.77 mm tons were the largest suppliers of crude oil to that country in the first two months of the year 2002.
