03-03-05 Iranian Ambassador to Ukraine Bahman Taherian Mobarakeh met with Ukraine's Minister of Energy and Fuel Ivan Plachkov, discussing expansion of cooperation in energy sector.
During the meeting, the officials described as “positive” the agreements reached during the Iran-Ukraine Second Joint Commission Session on energy.

The officials also held talks on implementation of the previously signed agreements as well as holding the third energy commission.
Plachkov voiced his country's firm determination to cooperate with the Iranian side to carry out the projects in the fields of energy, oil and gas.

The Iranian envoy, for his part, said that his country was ready to bolster relations with Ukraine in industrial, economic and energy sectors.
He was optimistic that the project of transferring Iran's gas to Europe via Ukraine would be implemented.
