Iran studies north-south gas pipeline
06-08-08 Iran is conducting required studies to build a north-south gas pipeline for gas swap from Iranian north neighbours to Oman Sea.
The pipeline stretching out of Iranian north-eastern city of Sarakhs to the southern port of Jask will deliver 30 mm cm gas daily.
Also Iran's deputy oil ministry for international affairs said the pipeline is expected to be constructed after the necessary examinations are carried out.
Iran has already held talks with Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan over the issue, Hussein Noghrekar Shirazi said adding the capacity of the pipeline is closely related to outcomes of the talks.
