31-08-08 Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, Abdul-Malik Alama, said that the Yemeni-Ethiopian Joint Technical Committee signed on August 23 in Addis Abeba a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas and energy.
Upon arrival from Ethiopia, Alama made clear that the MoU includes initiating cooperation between Yemen and Ethiopia through Yemen's training for Ethiopian personnel in the field of oil and gas and Ethiopia's training for Yemeni cadre in the field of energy and electricity and geological survey. He noted that the agreement affirms the importance of encouraging investment between the two countries in fields of gas, minerals and energy.
