Poll finds Texans want cleaner air

15-10-02 Air pollution is getting worse, according to a majority of Texans who want the next governor, senator and other elected officials to have plans to clear the air over Dallas and Houston, according to a new poll released by environmental groups.
The poll also found that Texans are willing to support a variety of measures to clear the air.

Strong majorities of Texans would be more likely to vote for a candidate with a plan for reducing air pollution (73 %) and global warming (61 %), according to the state-wide survey of registered voters conducted by American Viewpoint and released by Public Citizen's Texas office and the Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) Coalition.
