30-11-00 The entire Russian oil complex may be modernized in a matter of five years' time without any direct foreign investment and relying exclusively on local oil companies' own resources. The Institute of Macroeconomic Studies made this conclusion in an analytical report prepared for the Russian government. Experts have estimated that at least $ 25 bn (30 bn euros) will have to be invested in the modernization of the Russian oil complex.
