Russian oil export duty to rise to $ 69.9 per ton from August 1
19-07-04 Russia's oil export duty will be increased to a record high of $ 69.9 per ton from $ 41.6 starting August 1, Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov told.
For the first time, the oil export duty, effective from August 1, will be calculated based on a new oil export duty scale, which includes making duties higher if oil prices go up.
Russia revises its oil export duty once every two months in compliance with two-month monitoring of global market prices for Russian oil.
The duty to be introduced starting August 1 was calculated based on Russian oil prices for May-June.
