Daqing oil field reports high output in 26 consecutive years

31-12-01 In 2001, the Daqing oil field in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province produced 51.5 mm tons of crude oil. The annual crude oil output of Daqing has topped 50 mm tons for 26 consecutive years.

During the past four decades and more, over 20 oil and gas fields have been discovered at Daqing, with verified oil reserves totalling 5 bn tons. By the end of 2001, Daqing Oilfield, China's largest oil producer, had produced over 1.6 bn tons of crude oil, and earned more than $ 40 bn in foreign exchange.
