14-07-04 The Oil and Gas Upstream Sector executive board (BPH Migas) has confirmed that construction of a gas pipeline from South Sumatra to Banten will begin in 2005.
Land clearing along the pipeline's route has already commenced, BPH Migas said.

BPH Migas director Nafrizal Sikumbang said the company will use the project to help promote the use of gas in rural areas.
The entire project should be completed by 2006, he added.
