Iran to build $ 800 mm refinery in Bangladesh

Iran will build a oil refinery in Bangladesh at a cost of $ 800 mm, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Alauddin Brujerdi said."Even though the project is costly we are eager to implement it as the bilateral relations between the two countries are improving," he told.Brujerdi said a delegation from Bangladesh would soon visit Iran to draw up detailed outlines for the project. Iran is one of the potential sources of Bangladesh's oil imports. Bangladesh has already a refinery in southern Chittagong having a capacity of refining more than 1.0 mmt of crude annually.
